Coming together purposefully to promote regenerative forestry and agriculture empowers our villagers.
Like minded people coming together to do good has been found to promote healthy happy societies.
In a way we consider ourselves citizen scientists. Yet some of our community are actually retired scientists actively involved in continuing their quest for solutions.
Its often been said that it takes a village to raise a child and equally it takes a village to keep us healthy and excited by life.
Primarily to begin with, our villages are aimed at providing people like us (retirees) with the opportunity to live in a healthy environment, with no debt, money in the bank, quality time and quality neighbours.
However, younger folks are encouraged to join us if that makes sense/cents.
Ideally, a village will eventually include a broad range of inhabitants from babies to centarians.
Radiant Life Villages is an initiative of John Donovan. John developed a West Auckland property, Tehuia, then designed and built a log home using horses and traditional log building methods.
John understood from an early age that healthy living was fundemental to happiness.
His mother and grandmother were members of the Radiant Living movement in New Zealand 1930s to 1980s.
Reaching retirement age was catalyst for Johns model village but a lifetime of seeking a quality lifestyle underpins the Radiant Life Village concept.
A regenerative organic wholistic environment. A unique villa building design and village layout.
Food forest tree planting, garden design, water features, guest and health retreat accommodations. These all provide opportunities and purpose,
Its a model community that is not a commune. Not a conventional retirement village. Just our idea of a model village for now and the future.
Radiant Life Villages are not affiliated with any religion. Compassion, patience and tolerance allow us to accept that people grow as individuals and populations, travelling different paths.
If anything we believe in the sacredness of all sentient beings and Nature is our church.
Its a scientific fact. Climate change is happening and we need to adapt to the new sea levels, weather patterns and upheavals that societies and economies will have to deal with.
Everyone needs to get onboard and do what they can to reduce our carbon emissions and slow this warming planet.
We cannot wait for governments and corporations, we must be the change we need to see. Climate Crisis LINKS
